I knew I did not want to go to grad school immediately after undergraduate, so I was trying to decide what I wanted to do. I saw an advertisement for the Teach in China program and I decided to apply. I got accepted to Qufu Normal University, which like its American counterpart, has a large education program for those who wish to be teachers.
For spring semester, I had to take a pedagogy and preparations class, which included all the paperwork needed and some instructions about how to teach English as a foreign language.
In July, my visa was finalized and accepted, which allowed me to be in China legally for work.
